How to Accept Christian Salvation

Image
You've stumbled upon a Christian blog , where today I'll be teaching about Christian Salvation , and a relationship with God . For those of you who have already been saved, I encourage you to stick around and be reminded about the basic fundamentals of Christianity. For even Peter, who was there with Jesus in person, reminds us in 2 Peter to remember the basics of our faith; we should always continue and seek to learn advanced teachings, but we should never  forget how we came to believe. I'd first like to congratulate all of you who are here visiting for the first time, more likely than not if you've come across this site by the means of a search engine, then you've made a conscious decision to at least seek an understanding of who God is; to me this is the absolute first step down the short path to finding God, true happiness, and fulfillment in your life. I say short path because I want you to understand how simple it is to have a relationship with God, throu...

Desiring God in Daily Life

Image
I'm going to approach today in a much different way than I have in the past. Instead of picking a topic or chapter from the Bible, I'm going to write out of examples from my own life; specifically what has happened over the course of the last couple of months. As some of you may already know, I have just recently rededicated my life to God. I knew that as soon as the decision was impressed upon me by the Holy Spirit that my life would change dramatically, however, I did't exactly know what all would come to pass. Over the course of the next month or so, I began spending a lot of time in the Word, learning all that I could from the prophets and disciples of Jesus Christ. I also began attending church each and every Sunday, if you would like to look check out the place I call my spiritual home, you can visit it here at Lifepoint Church . Shortly after beginning to attend, I began tithing according to the commands of God, but instead of only giving 10% I chose to give a li...

How to Use Prayer for Healing!

Image
What is prayer? Prayer is a direct conversation with God! How do you pray? Now that my friends is a complex and long answer, so let me ask you this, how and what do you  pray? When you come before our heavenly Father with a request for strength, a gift, a need, obedience, anything; how do you approach him? Believe it or not, there are right and wrong ways to pray, good and bad things to ask for, correct and incorrect ways of approaching him. I've entitled this post "How to Use Prayer for Healing!" but healing injuries or illness is not exactly all I'm referring to. When you pray for healing, you can be asking for many different things: being healed of a sin you've committed, your lifestyle, healing in your mind, emotions; healing can come in many forms and many different areas of your life, so keep that in mind as you continue. Although I'm not a prophet, a preacher, a teacher, a leader (except leading non-believers to Christ), I am  a servant, a slave, a ...

How to Study The Bible!

Image
The Holy Bible, what's your opinion about it? Do you believe that it's just a book, a grouping of stories passed down from generation to generation, events, wars, and teachings all leading up to the coming of a man who did a lot of amazing things, someone who claimed to be the "Son of God"? Are you under the impression that to become and remain a Christian, it's a requirement that you must study the Bible each and every day, and if you don't you'll lose your salvation and go to hell? In all honesty, that last question is something that many Christians and non-Christians alike seem to struggle with. Personally, I find it to be pretty amusing that this belief or rumor was even created, not to step on anyone's toes or anything. Look at it this way, do you really think that God, who is love and compassion at it's purest, would put a condition like that on your salvation? I'm sorry my child, but if you don't read the Bible everyday for the res...

God is Life 2021

Image
Up to this point we've talked about God being light and love, well today we'll talk about God being life. Looking back on the titles of those last articles and the one you'll be reading today, I could have turned this into a four part series called "God Is", but there's no sense fretting over the past when there's such an amazing future ahead of us right? If you've been paying attention and following along like I hope you've been, you'll know that we'll be continuing in, and actually wrapping up, the book of 1 John. So feel free to break out your Bible and follow along, even though I'm sure you've come to realize I don't often state exactly where I'm at in the scripture or what verse I'm covering. This is done for two reasons, one being that you shouldn't just believe everything you read, you should check to make sure it's actually in line with the Word of God; and two being that I'm lazy and it's annoy...

God is Love 2021 Part 2

Image
Last week we talked about being children of God and living pure lives, just as Jesus did; for that is what a Christian does, they seek to become more like Christ. For those of you who are visiting this site for the first time, please go back and read the first half of this mini-series, God is Love! Part 1 . As for everyone else, welcome back, as you know we'll be continuing in 1 John 3 today; however, I would also like to cover the scripture found in the second half of chapter 4 as well. So everyone please feel free to brew a cup of coffee, grab your Bible while you're waiting, then pull up a comfortable chair; I feel like God has something important to speak to your heart today! Loving One Another: Chapter 3 John opens up verse 11 by reminding us that we've been taught to love one another since the beginning and that we should not be like Cain. I'm assuming you've all heard the story of Cain and Abel, but if not I'll give you a brief overview. These two m...

God is Love 2021 Part 1

Image
Love. What is love? Dictionary.com defines it as a tender, passionate affection for another person; but the Bible says that love is the ultimate expression of God's loyalty, purity, and mercy extended toward his people--to be reflected in human relationships of brotherly concern, marital fidelity, and adoration of God. My past thoughts about love and trust in a simple definition no longer matter, what does matter is how I feel after devoting my life entirely to God and his manner of being. Personally, I think that love is more than just an emotion of affection, it's an action that is performed, as well as a decision which must be consciously made to have. I also feel that love is something which has been long overlooked by many Christians in today's world and deserves some serious inspection. Oh but we won't be stopping with what I think and what I have to say about love, oh no, we'll be diving into the depths of the scripture to find out exactly what God hims...
